School Improvement Plans for schools in the district are under revision and will be posted upon completion.
The School Improvement Plan, and the process by which it is created, serves the school in a number of ways. State law requires the School Improvement Plan to be developed by a School Improvement Team comprised of teachers, administrators, parents, and other community members.
R The primary purpose of a School Improvement Plan is to add to and improve the opportunities for learning that are available to all students in a school.
R Another important purpose of a School Improvement Plan is to create a sense of consensus within the school about what it will be doing during the year.
R A third purpose of a School Improvement Plan is to describe for the school and its community specifically who will be doing what, by when, with what support and towards what purposes during the school year to improve learning in the school.
