CHS Guidance Department

1. Teachers are available after school between
1:33 and 2:15 a few days a week. Please check
with your teachers for their availability. This
opportunity is free.

2. National Honor Society members provide
free one-on-one peer tutoring in the Homework Help Center. Tutoring is available in room 306 from 1:30-2:30pm. Each day is a different subject, just walk in on the day.
Monday- Science
Tuesday- History/Social Studies
Wednesday- Math
Thursday- English & World Languages

3. Guidance has a list of teachers who are
available for tutoring for summer school and
occasionally during the school year. Please see
your counselor if you are interested in
obtaining a name of a tutor. Tutoring rates
vary, please check with the tutor for exact
details.

4. The Cumberland Public Library offers free
online homework help until 9pm on weekdays.

5. Big Y offers a Homework Help Line staffed
by certified teachers. Help is available
Monday through Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm.

The counseling staff encourages students to seek help as soon as
they feel they need it. Waiting to see if it gets better rarely works.
Whether you are looking for extra help for one test or throughout
the year we have several options available for students who are
looking for tutoring options.
