Tutoring
The counseling staff encourages students to seek help as soon as they feel they need it. Waiting to see if it gets better rarely works. Whether you are looking for extra help for one test or throughout the year we have several options available for students who are looking for tutoring options. Students who stay after school for extra help can obtain a late bus pass from their teacher.
Teachers are available after school between 1:40 and 2:10 Tuesday-Friday. Please check with your teachers for their availability.
Homework Help Center- peer tutoring is available in room T201 Tuesday-Thursday from 1:40-2:30pm. Tutors work one-on-one and with small groups on a walk-in basis.
Guidance has a list of teachers who are available for tutoring for summer school and occasionally during the school year. Please see your counselor if you are interested in obtaining a name of a tutor. Tutoring rates vary, please check with the tutor for exact details.
Big Y offers a Homework Help Line staffed by certified teachers. Help is available Monday through Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm. You can reach them at 1-800-866-BIGY or online.
RI Homework Help is a free online tutoring service that caters to students in grades K-12 and college. The offer help in the following subjects: math, science, English, social studies, and writing.
