Monday, May 15th thru Friday May 19th is our Spring book fair.  It is a BOGO book fair.   The book fair will be open to students throughout the school day.  It will also be open Thursday evening from 6-8.

PTO Board for 2017-2018

Although most of our PTO Board will be staying on for at least one more year, the position of President is going to open up.  Our Vice President, Amy Newman, would be happy to share the position with someone.  Amy is only at NCMS for one more year and it would be a great way to transition for someone who is interested in joining and leading the PTO for the next couple of years.  Please consider volunteering your time to this group.  There is an amazing group of core parents who are supportive and helpful above and beyond what is expected.  The PTO has grown significantly over the last several year.

Our next Savers Clothing Drive is in a few weeks! It will be held the week of May 22 through May 26. All donations can be dropped off at the side door anytime during that week between 3pm and 7:30pm, Monday through Thursday. The truck is picking up on Friday morning. No donations that day please!

Please support this fundraiser! It has been a huge success in the past! Thank you!

Québec update from Madame Brady:

Next year's 8th grade trip to Québec will be taking place January 11th-15th, 2018 (Martin Luther King Jr. weekend). The trip is open to all 8th graders. (If you do have questions or concerns and would like advice on whether your child should attend, please contact Madame Brady or Mrs. Patten for more information.)

We will be having a preliminary meeting for parents of current 7th graders on Thursday, May 18th at 6:30 PM in the NCMS Cafeteria. This meeting will be optional and geared toward parents of children who have not had an older sibling attend the trip.  Requirements for IDs will be discussed, and medical forms will be available.  However registration will not take place until the fall.

There will be a more detailed, required, meeting for parents of all interested students in September.  Merci!
