 PTO News

I cannot even believe we are already in April!  There is so much going on and I want to be sure you don't miss out!

This week we are running a Five Below Fundraiser.  If you are looking for some last minute easter items to fill those baskets...Five Below is the place to go.  Bring the attached coupons with you and the school will receive 10% of your purchase price.

Yankee Candle Order Pick Up will be this Wednesday, the 12th after school until 6:30 in the cafeteria.  Please try to make arrangements to pick up your order during that time frame.  Thank you for your support of this fundraiser!

We are looking for volunteers for the upcoming PTO events:

April 26th is the 8th Grade History Fair

We would like to ask parents of the 6th and 7th graders to please volunteer to run the concession table so the 8th grade parents can be a part of the fair with their children.  There will be pizza, water and chips....nothing too complicated...We would need people there from approximately 5-7:00.  Even if you could just offer your time for part of that, it would be greatly appreciated.  Please contact Lynne Barry with any questions.

April 28th is the NCMS Variety Show

It will be held at the CHS Auditorium.  We are looking for volunteers to run the concession table that night as well.  We would need people there from approximately 6-9.  It is a fun night and you can watch all our talented students as well as volunteer at the same time.  Again, you do not have to volunteer for the entire time, any time you can offer would be very helpful.

Spring Book Fair May 15-19

We will be looking for volunteers for both the morning and the afternoon everyday that week. We generally break up the days in time blocks from 8-10, 9:30-11 and 12:30 -2.  We love to have 2 people for each time slot.  If you are interested and able to volunteer that week, please let Lynne Barry know.

Teacher Appreciation Week May 8-12

Technically this week is celebrated nationally the week prior to this, but since that is a PARCC testing week, we are celebrating the second week in May.  We are looking for volunteers to offer their expertise in baking.  We will be having a desert bar one day that week and are asking for donations.  More details as to what day and when it could be dropped off will be forthcoming once we get closer.  Please contact Lynne Barry if you are willing and able to donate some goodies!

PTO Board for 2017-2018

Although most of our PTO Board will be staying on for at least one more year, the position of President is going to open up.  Our Vice President, Amy Newman, would be happy to share the position with someone.  Amy is only at NCMS for one more year and it would be a great way to transition for someone who is interested in joining and leading the PTO for the next couple of years.  Please consider volunteering your time to this group.  There is an amazing group of core parents who are supportive and helpful above and beyond what is expected.  The PTO has grown significantly over the last several years and it would be wonderful for that trend to continue.  If you are interested in getting involved and have any questions, please contact Lynne Barry or Amy Newman.  We would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
